• It tends to get close to throw rugs so we usually pick any up. It will not scratch the floor. It has been doing an excellent job and my children named it Bob.

• Will not scratch floors and yes it will stay away from rugs as long as rugs are thick enough.

• I assume your stone floor surface has some texture to it. Brava Jet isn't effective on floors that aren't dead flat and smooth. It pushes stiff flat pads that ride across the high spots and do not reach down into areas that are even slightly (thousandths of an inch) lower.

• I use it on my real wood floors & it hasn't scratched them. I just make sure to sweep/vac before using. As far as rugs, I remove all mine before turning Ruby (imop)loose..
