• Candy, yes - this Roomba would do an excellent job in the environment you've described. Also, just a note that you only need WiFi if you want to use the free iRobot Home app to schedule or stop/start your Roomba. You don't need WiFi to run Roomba, though; you can simply press the Clean button on the robot.

• The 890 is an overall good choice. I own it and the 960. I own a two story home so to eliminate moving them I have two. I also have a mixture of carpet and hardwood, both Clean carpet very well. Only major difference is the 960 will run longer by recharging during cleaning for larger homes.
