it works fine, it just goes around and has never fallen down our stairs.

Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.It will not fall off the stairs. It uses 'cliff detect' technology which is fancy for a sensor that makes sure it doesn't go for a tumble.

Please try again later.I really don’t know from personal experience, but it has sensors on both sides of the rotary bar that is supposed to sense a drop-off, and prevent the machine from going over the edge. The manual states that the sensors be kept clean to avoid “accidents”.
