Mine has successfully operated over carpet runners with fringe.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. Our 980 doesn’t suck the edge of the rugs. We are very pkeased
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. If it's a heavier rug, it should do fine. The only rugs my Roomba struggles with are lighter ones. It tends to bunch them up.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I’m not sure about the fringes on the rug but I have long curtains that touch the floor and so far haven’t had a problem
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. It depends on the length of the fringe. Very short fringe should be fine, longer could wrap around the sweeper bar and cause it to stop.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. It will definitely get stuck. Ours gets tripped up on the rugs that go around the toilets. Sometimes it works, sometime it gets stuck...
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Yes!!!
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I have a fringed rug and it hasn’t bothered it.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. If the fringes are long than it will get hung up on them, doesnt get stuck on much but fringes and loose carpet are bad, fugure if an upright has problems than this will too.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I’ve had it for about a month and love it. I have a calfskin in my office and it cleans it great with no damage to the edges. Haven’t had too much experience with tassels but the 980 automatically senses when it needs to boost power and adjusts based on surface. If it’s a shag or anything thick, it will not be able to get on it, but normal thickness rugs and runners it does great with. Hope this helps.
