• I have rubber-backed runners that it gets on and vacuums thoroughly. I suspect it could push just around lighter weight rugs that slide easily on the floor.

• it will go from hard surfaces to rugs. In fact, it will try to go over just about anything in its way with a low enough profile this has caused mine to to get stuck trying to get over some low-profile metal furniture feet from time to time. you learn quickly to pick up these items or block access to these areas. if using the mop function you will want to pick up your rugs or block access to them
