Yes! The iRobot Roomba e5 has Cliff-Detection sensors that will prevent the robot from driving off stairs.

Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I have one and I have a split level home so 2 steps down in two different areas of my home. It does great!!! ..... It goes right up to edge to clean but knows that it is a step and does not go over it!! It has a few times sent me a message saying .....HELP on a cliff!!!..... and that's when it gets stuck on a little part of my trim, only once in a while, so i just move it over and off it goes!! Love this vacuum.... really saves me time and does a great job with all the dog hair and sand!! I have the Roomba e5
