Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.My machine (and i6 model RVB-Y2)It does have "Cliff Sensors" to detect drop-offs. I think that means it will detect stairs. It that's a problem, iRobot does have a thing called a "virtual wall" (an add-on extra cost item) that will make the vacuum think there's a solid wall or closed door so it avoids anything beyond that point. I'm not sure if we have the same machine.
