If your phone is able to handle two Bluetooth devices you should be able to accomplish this. The adapter only handles phone media no phone calls.

The BluJax will allow pairing to your iPhone for streaming music through a 3.5 mm auxiliary jack input while maintaining your hands free pairing connection at the same time.
