The Callcassette With Bluetooth does require charging. You will want to charge it prior to use (uses a micro USB to USB cable to charge).

Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Can't use it while it charges for most tape decks. Charging cable gets in the way. But the battery lasts all week for me and it charges really quickly.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Yes, it is rechargeable and uses a micro usb charger. I couldn't use mine while charging because the male end of the usb charger cable is just barely too big to fit inside the deck with the cassette. It just ejects the tape. But your deck might be different and might allow it. However, when I want to recharge it, I have one of those charger bricks in my car (since my charge adapters dont work when my car is off). I can tell when the tape adapter gets low on battery charge by looking at the little charge indicator on my iPhone's bluetooth connection at the top of the phone screen. When it gets low I just plug it into my charger brick in my car and when I get back in my car after work or before work, it is ready to go again. I can usually make it through a week or so without needing to charge it again. Although, I doubt it takes more then 30min to fully charge it.
