“Is the docking station supposed to come with an AC Power adapter? I notice I didn't get anything in the box, not even product literature. Couldn't make it work right and Geek Squad had to hook up an external power adapter to make it work.”

The JCD533 does not come with a power adapter. If your computer came with a USB-C power-brick 65W or higher, you could use it on the Dock's USB-C power-in port. The JUP2290 or JUP34108 will also be another option. The computer provides power to the Dock when connected. The Power Adapter provides additional power for power hungry USB devices and pass-through charge. Note: Computers must support "DisplayPort Mode" and "Power Delivery" for the JCD533 to work at it's fullest.
