Unfortunately no, the JCC153G is intended to be plugged into the Mac via USB-C male end and out to an external TV, monitor, projector. But generally speaking, "macbooks" or laptops are not designed with inputs for HDMI or any pre installed display port. The kinds preinstalled are outputs, to send you laptop screen out. You can check I/O Ports, it will list HDMI port as "input" or "output"
