Unfortunately no, the JCC153G is intended to be plugged into the Mac via USB-C male end and out to an external TV, monitor, projector. The JDC52 would be needed to connect the Xbox to the TV. ** Feel free to contact the Technical Support team mentioned on the packaging for further assistance or if you have any other questions and someone will be glad to assist you.

I havent tried this but i would say No as macbook Is probaby an out signal only for display purposes

That's more of a MAC related question. But generally speaking, "macbooks" or laptops are not designed with inputs for HDMI or any pre installed display port. The kinds preinstalled are outputs, to send you laptop screen out. You can check I/O Ports, it will list HDMI port as "input" or "output"
