The USB Type-C port on this device only supports Power Delivery Firmware, and your computer does indeed support Power Delivery Firmware. So with this being said you will be able to use USB Type C charger (20V @ 2.25 amps (45W) while your computer is between 20%-80% battery level) to charge your computer.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.If your Surface is capable of charging by USB C then you plug your charger into the other port on the device and it relays the power to your device. It won't work with phone chargers, has to be the specific USB C laptop charger for your device. It's just cleaner to have a single port plugged in to do everything.
