• The JCA399G adapter does not rely on MHL, it uses USB-C video output (DisplayPort Alt Mode) to send video to an HDMI display. If your phone doesn't support USB-C video output, then the adapter will not be able to display video on the TV, even if the phone charges or connects for data.
