We do not recommend using converters from USB-A to USB-C as they do not always work properly. We recommend direct connections instead. Please try again later.Hello, From what we can find out on HP's site, unfortunately, that model would not allow for DisplayPort Alt mode as the Type C appears to be for Data delivery only. We would suggest double checking with HP for your specific year model to see if it supports DP Alt as this would be required to get full functionality out of the device.
