We do not recommend using converters from USB-A to USB-C as they do not always work properly. We recommend direct connections instead. However, if you only have USB-A on your PC, we recommend the JUD380 in order to make a direct connection.

It did not work with my brand new HP laptop. A Geek Squad rep told me that the product is not really designed for windows devices. Try a USB to HDMI adapter if you'r trying to run multiple displays.

From what we can find out on HP's site, unfortunately, that model would not allow for DisplayPort Alt mode as the Type C appears to be for Data delivery only. We would suggest double checking with HP for your specific year model to see if it supports DP Alt as this would be required to get full functionality out of the device.
