“I have a JCD543 docking station. When plugged into my Aspire 5 laptop the external monitor, HP Elite E231 works fine but when I plug the display into the docking station using the same connector it isn't recognized. why?”

The JCD543 USB-C Triple Display Docking Station requires that the driver be installed. If your computer is running Windows 10 or later it can automatically install the driver, but you may need to manually install the driver in some cases by visiting the j5create website and clicking on the "SUPPORT" tab to find the driver. Additionally the Type-C port on your computer must support DisplayPort Alternate Mode (commonly found on Thunderbolt 3, Thunderbolt 4, and USB4 laptops).
