“So I downloaded the drivers and got it finally working on my laptop. It seems now that each time the laptop is powered down I have to unplug the USB-C from the computer and push it back in to have this docking working properly. Any advise ?”

We recommend that you disable USB Selective Suspend settings for your computer's USB ports.
