“I have an 8th gen Ipad, and a pro. I was told by one best buy employee that if i purchase a USB-C to lightning cable my 8th gen would work with the j5, an employee at a second store said it would not. My question is would my 8th gen work with this dock?”

No, we do not recommend using converters for the JCD543 as that may not always work. We recommend direct connections only. The JCD543 is ONLY compatible with Windows and Mac (Intel) operating systems.
