If you have ambient noise on then you will hear background sound. It reminds me of being inside an elevator. You'll hear it once you try it out. but if you turn off ambient noise, you will not hear background noise. At work, ambient sound is kinda cool if you can get used to it. If you're typing, you can hear the echo of your typing back in your ear.

The dual microphones work together to reduce background noise so that your voice is heard clearly. Although the intended use is not made for drivers, we think that it should do just fine. If you are interested, we do have a product line designed for truck drivers and workers on the road. Please feel free to check it out here: https://www.blueparrott.com/ and let us know if you have any questions!
