Not really. They allow you to hear your surroundings using the mic's but they do not amplify the sound.

Please try again later.You have to remember that hearing aids, are finely tuned to help you hear the the sounds you have difficulty with, along with suppressing background noises that make it difficult to hear those sounds all at the same time. Assistive hearing technologies have come a long way recently due to rapidly changing technology (fitting amazing tech into a small form). My hearing aid technology is about 5 years old and the newest version of what I am wearing is a quantum leap from what I have, They actually have a processor in them that sorts the sounds that you are experiencing and the key to their performance is the ability of that processor to sort that sound and deliver it to your ear in an effective manner. With all that said, I think we are on the verge of a hearing aid revolution. Regular companies (Jabra, Bose, Sony... ) Now have the ability to create a device that can do all the things a traditional hearing aid does and more at a better price. I am waiting on my Jabra 65T's for listening purposes, but I am excited about the possibilities of being able to tweak their hear through technology and see if I can use them for double duty .

We may not have tested it with a specific app you use. The right earbud can be used by itself, the left cannot be used alone. We hope this information helps. Thank you.
