• Hi Klutch2011 - The Jabra Elite 65t does not require the Jabra Sound+ app to function. You can use it independently with your mobile phone, but you will need to use the Sound+ app to update the firmware of the earbuds when a new version becomes available (which could be done on a different phone). • Yes you can still use it without the app. The app lets you control the sound like more bass or more treble. And if you lose your headphones it has a tracker
