• i would not recommend it for that I have to turn up volume to hear when I am around washer and dryer

• It cancels out the noise but not totally. I would suggest tighter fitting earbuds

• My husband is a welder so his work environment is obnoxiously loud. He said he doesn’t hear any background noise in the shop when he has these in and on the lowest volume setting.
