• No. In fact, they don't even block out much surrounding noise.

• No but they are loud enough to keep most noise out, but not kill your eardrums.

• They are pretty close to noise cancelling - I mean they are not the Bose over the ear type of noise cancelling, but I cannot hear anything really when I am working out.

• No, they don't. At my health club, I hear the music they play over the speakers, almost unimpeded,if they aren't on or when there is a gap in the audio.

• Not at all. The volume is terrible. I had trouble hearing them in the gym over my surroundings.
