Anyone that has this would this power a bed with a lift? I ask because my mother is elderly and has a power lifted bed. Unfortunately when the power goes out if her bed is lifted she can be stuck. Could this be used to lower the bed? null

You may consider investing in one of the higher wattage designs.  The 290 is better for more basic usages.   For instance this would not power a coffee machine.
