I have a booth at a flea market that lacks electrical service. This little device saves the day every day by allowing me to display the unusual lamps that I build, as well as to check the various used products that I sell which need to be proven operable. As I live in a hurricane-prone area, I anticipate that it will be charging my phone and providing temporary power when we inevitably lose electric service. Wish I could afford the solar panels to charge it but having the option to simply plug it in to recharge is doing it for me now. GREAT product which I frequently recommend to my customers and fellow vendors.

This tiny power generator is very powerful and easy to operate. I use it every night for my business. I plug two string lights, phones, speaker and still wont finish its charge. It is a very affordable product for what it offers and it is the best brand out there.

Last year we were victims of Hurricane Ian. We were without power for 10 days. Our constant challenge was where to charge our mobile devices. Nowadays everything we all use is a rechargeable device. We survived the Hurricane the best way we could. After the storm I researched and purchased this unit. I have tested it with multiple devices, even multiple laptops. I stored it for a few months and took it out again... The results: It maintains power, recharges my devices even afte putting it away for a few months. It is portable and small enough you can store it anywhere, on a shelf, under the cabinet. As an added accessory you can purchase a solar panel charger. For now I don't see the need for it. Hopefully this notes have been helpful.

Nice Jackery 290. Charged fully in 3hrs, and tested on plugged in the Sony HDTV 65” @ 180W, and it lasted for 1.5hr. If it was a smaller TV like 32”, it will last 4.5hr. My 2nd test was plugged in my desktop computer with 24” monitor and it lasted 26hrs. This is impressive considering the little size of the Jackery 290

Love this thing! Works wonderfully for off gridding, it’s compact an light weight. Charges fast an keeps a charge for longer than expected.

Light weight and easy to carry around on road trips

Great portable source of energy, I brought for camping, it helped to blow 2 mattresses plus charge cell phones, use computer… it’s small and easy to work with.

I really love my new charger! I used it the first day I got it. I let it charge and the used it at a yard sale. I used it to power a television and charge my phone and a Bluetooth speaker! What a great tool to have!

The Jackery Explorer 290 power generator is a great choice for anyone that spends time off of the power grid camping or anywhere that doesn’t have power outlets available to charge up devices. It is also an excellent idea to have one or two of them available in case of an extended power outage. Since I live in Florida, which has a yearly risk of hurricane related power disruptions, I am looking forward to having it at the ready in case it is needed. I especially like that it provides power without the excessive noise and dangerous carbon monoxide fumes of a gas generator. As long as you understand the limitations, I think anyone will be pleased with the performance and capabilities of the Jackery Explorer 290. It can handle powering devices that draw up to 200 watts using the power outlet. It also provides power from two USB-A ports, and a single 12V car socket. It is charged using the included AC adapter that plugs into a wall outlet, or the included DC adapter that plugs into a 12V vehicle socket. The ability to charge it using a vehicle makes it especially useful and versatile. Very nicely done Jackery! Surprisingly it only takes about 6 hours to charge it fully from empty. Since it is a lithium ion battery, it will discharge itself at no more than about 5 percent per month. This makes it very suitable for storage until it is called into service. In addition to the AC and DC charging cables, also included is a quality zippered soft storage case with the Jackery logo. Available to purchase separately is a solar panel. The Jackery Explorer 290 power generator is a powerhouse that provides more than enough power to charge several different devices multiple times. It will do everything an external battery can, but better because of its size, weight, design and capacity to hold and deliver a charge. Highly recommended for anyone!

I brought this only because it said it was a "Solar Generator" and looking inside the box, there was no Solar panel that came with this "Solar Generator" Why sell this Product as a Solar Generator and there isn't a Solar Panel inside the box with it? The box was sealed.

Super helpful. You can use multiple ports at once and doesn’t use much energy. I wish it came with a small solar charger.

To phones, laptops, car fridges, and cameras, this little guy has enough juice to keep all your essential devices running. Whether it is for an emergency, or you are out in the middle of nowhere camping, a power generator like this one, should be in everyone’s stash of essential items. After having used this for a couple of days, I can attest that this little guy is worth it. In this review, I’ll go over my thoughts on the Jackery Explorer 290 power generator. Note that this power generator is solar powered, but the solar panels are sold separately, link below. *TLDR at bottom ========= IN THE BOX: In the box, you get the Jackery power generator. You also get a car charging cable, AC & AC cable (for wall charging), a soft bag to carry the cables in, and the user manual. There isn’t much set up to do, my generator arrived at about 98% charged so there was no need to charge it out of the box. This generator is all plug and play but I do recommend you read the user manual before using it. There are a couple of important items that may be useful to know like this generator is NOT waterproof. ========= DEVICES USED/DESIGN/USAGE: I tested this power generator with a couple of devices, ranging from various headphones, phones, laptops, etc. Also, note that anything that exceeds a 200W total output, the power generator will shut off. With that being said, this may not be ideal for large appliances or tools like a circular saw. This generator has several buttons on the front. The display button lets you know the battery percentage, the number of watts that are being outputted, and the number of watts that are being inputted. The other buttons turn on the corresponding port. There are two USB-A ports, a 12V “cigarette lighter” port, an outlet, and an input port to charge the power generator. The generator feels sturdy and well built. I was expecting the generator to be a lot heavier, but it is surprisingly light coming in at around 7.5lbs. This generator has the capacity of 290Wh which is enough to charge several items or keep small devices running for several hours. This has many uses from camping, emergency situations, keeping a mini fridge running, and much more. I didn’t get to test this generator in all of these situations, but I did test it enough to know that this little guy should be helpful if you ever need it. I managed to charge my phones, laptop, headphones a couple of times. I also used it to power my monitors for a couple of hours. The power generator can be charged in several different ways. You can use a wall charger, a car charger, or solar panels which are sold separately. The solar panels aren’t cheap but will be helpful especially when outdoors which may be worth the investment. The description says its solar powered but unfortunately the solar panels are sold separately. I charged mine using a wall outlet and using your car charger will take a bit longer. This generator is reliable and managed to charge many of my devices a couple of times with no problems. This power generator can be used for an array of things such as camping, emergency situations, keeping a mini fridge running, and much more. Whatever you may need this for, I am sure this power generator will be reliable and of use.

Does the job, powered a 70" TV for about 2 hours, just what we needed.

This Jackery Portable Power Solar Generator is super helpful for camping; it can support 2-3 h use of an Epson projector, which is a great fun for the whole family at the camping site. Highli recommended.
