If you are really into music then yes, if not, the sound is more than fine.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. The X3s benefit quite a bit from the app. They were so-so sounding until I ran that on my iPhone. If you won’t even get to customize the sound, it’s not worth it. (And that’s me intentionally focusing on your question. There are other reasons to skip these, too.)
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. You do not necessarily need the app. They sound good without it.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. These have enough quality in and of themselves as far as sound goes, but I will say the app is really nice when adjusting the sound for genre and other things. You can really tell a difference, and it gives the user complete control over sound adjustment. You can use one of the preset settings or manually adjust the eq. Don't let that be a dealbreaker. I would still purchase and recommend them without the app. It just really enhances the sound experience.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Depends on what your listening style is. Without the app, you get a good crisp sound. As I type, I'm listening to the horns section of a song and it sounds good. However, I like to enhance the bass. With the app I'm able to do that. It appears there are several Windows Apps that allow a similar capability and that might be an option for you. Good luck!
