• If you hook your bar up with HDMI ARC, you can use the TV remote.

• It powers on with the TV. It does come w a remote, but my TV remote also controls the sound bar. so I don’t ever use the JBL remote, just my tv remote.

If our JBL Bar 5.1 is connected via HDMI-ARC with HDMI-CEC enabled on your TV ( Refer to the owner’s manual of your TV for more information), it should turn on and off with the TV using the TV's remote control and vice versa. Please note that full compatibility with all HDMI-CEC devices is not guaranteed. You may contact your TV manufacturer if you have problems with the HDMICEC compatibility of your TV.
