“If the speaker is protected from handling can the subwoofer be layed in its side?”

• The subwoofer is designed to stand upright. Sound is supposed to hit the floor under it. The port in back needs to be at least 4-6 inches from a wall or corner wall. That’s how it produces it’s best sound.
