“Can you play this while it is plugged in and charging or is it on battery only?”

• Our JBL Boombox 3 can be played while the speaker is charging. There's no harm in using the unit while it is connected to a power source. Our products have PCM circuits that manage the charging of the battery. However, if you'd like to save energy, unplug the speaker.

• Yes you can play while its pluged in. In fact. It is louder when you plug it in opposed to just relying on the internal battery.

• Yes and it will have a little more bass and loudness when plugged in. It is also in the description on JBL web site.

• This boombox is 170 watts, 70 watts off of battery power and 100 watts off of continuos power a.k.a connected to the wall
