Thanks for your question. Our JBL Clip 5 makes a sound when turning on or off. However, you have an option to disable these feedback tones through the JBL Portable app to keep it silent when powering on or off.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Thats a good question. I havent heard it when its died on me yet. But that usually happens when Im sleeping. However, most if not all JBL speakers make a sound when they turn on and are turned off...not sure if they do when the die. These speakers last all night so it might not be an issue. Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.When you turn it off yes it will play a preset audio clip all JBL’s play the same one, if you want to take a listen I’d pull up a YouTube video again thought only plays when you physically turn it off.
