I haven't encountered that issue but noticed others stated such an occurrence while researching and reading reviews. I immediately wipe mine prior to placing them in the case, which I keep on a flat surface (dresser/table) while charging...try wiping the conductors and perhaps placing a small piece of tissue behind each ear bud before closing the case: this is what I've considered doing in the event this happens to mine. Here's to hoping it works.
