It works for sound from YouTube from my iPhone.

It's a matter of the device you pair to it, and what that device will do, not this Speaker. This speaker will play whatever your phone, tablet, etc... that is paired to it, will play through Bluetooth.

Just turn it on. 

Then go to your phones Bluetooth. It should pop up for you which is JBL Flip 4. You can also use it for listening to tv shows. Music, podcasts. Everything that has to do with audio.
