• Unfortunately no. JBL flip 5 uses the party boost function while older models have a connect plus function. Due to differences in hardware the flip 5 will be unable to connect to older models. Future JBL models will be using Party Boost though

• No the 5 uses a different system. It can be combined with other Flip 5s. The 4s can be combined but only with other 4s.
