• Yes. There is a play/pause button on the speaker. If you press the play/pause twice it will skip to the next song. There are also volume up and down buttons on the speaker.

• No. You can only pause and play directly from the speaker. One option that is REALLY convenient (at least with android phones - I don't use Apple products) is Google assistant does allow you to use voice commands. Hope this helps.
