“I bought the JBL 300 plus Google home hub now am thinking i didn't need the Google home hub don't they do the same thing ? I also bought a 49 inch TCL smart t.v not sure if I needed the Google home hub want the speaker for music and t.v any suggestions ?”

I would recommend keeping the hub, as it can do much more than the speaker. Having both will allow you to have separate room control . The jbl300 can connect either via WiFi or Bluetooth , which is great . I would suggest finding a sound bar that you can link the speaker to via Bluetooth , so you have remote speakers similar to surround sound .
