JBL is just trying to make everyone buy another mic. Yes, if you already have this mic, it will work. If you don't already have it, still get it so you have another one for back up incase one broke or just ran out of battery. It's also alot cheaper than the supposedly only easy sing mics they claimed that work. However, only 1 will pair at a time. JBL is right when they said you can only pair 2 wireless mics. That's a fact meaning you can pair one of these with the one that came with the speaker making it 2 wireless mics. Try it. It will work. Do not turn on the dongle. Just turn on 1 mic very close to the speaker then turn on the speaker. It will connect without the dongle. Once it's connected, Turn on the mic that came with the speaker and now you have 2 working mics. When one runs out of battery just turn on the other one and it will also connect. Remember you can only connect 1 of these at a time making it 2 working mics with the primary mic that came with the speaker. Thank me after you try it and you're welcome.
