Our JBL Tune 120TWS has the right earbud as the primary earbud and the left earbud as the secondary earbud and is dependent on the right earbud. You can only connect to the right earpiece with your phone to play music. If you need more help, please contact us here: https://bit.ly/2zwFkYM
