When answering calls on your JBL Tune 230NC TWS, simply tap either the left or the right bud twice. It doesn't automatically pause when you take them out of your ears.

I do know for a fact, she does not take phone calls or has had the need to since she's been using them. I did look up reviews online prior to purchasing them and do believe some of these questions have been answered. Apologize for not having a first hand response.
