can I use to listen to a tv show with the tv volume off? null

The purpose was to listen to the TV by setting the volume on the headphones so that others didn't have to listen to what I was watching. I have a headset like that from Sharper Image, but it's buttons are wearing out, so I thought this might replace them.

Don’t know only used them for work zoom meeting and team and my I phone and I pod sorry live by myself I can have my tv on with out nothing people sorry
