Better answer would be 100 watts while plugged into an outlet and 70 watts when on battery power. Since you cannot achieve 170 W total because the unit cannot be played in AC mode and battery mode simultaneously.

In battery mode, the Xtreme 4’s output is reduced to 70 watts (2 x 20W woofers + 2 x 15W tweeters.
