Q: QuestionI bought a jensen portable cassette player/recorder. Attempted to record, recorder shut off right away. Fast forwarded the player and the tape jammed in the recorder

• A:Answer The same thing happened to us. There is an odd glitch with new cassette tapes and here is the work-around: place the new blank tape in the machine and fast-forward all the way to the end. It will now record. I'm not sure why this happens but all our tapes work the same way in this machine.
