“Are they noise canceling when it comes to background sounds?”

• It really depends, I have noticed sometimes it cancels out all other sounds and sometimes it amplifies outside sounds by using the microphone. I haven't found out if it's a controllable feature or a bug yet.

• These are passive noise canceling not active noise canceling earbuds so they will inherently reduce surrounding noises just by placing in your ears and having a good seal with the appropriate ear tips. -JLab Audio
