Will this hold a Nikon D3400? null

It does hold the camera but it is super small and a little flimsy. I did have to put on my sons highchair just to take a photos with everyone in it.

This tripod holds cameras up to 11.5 ounces. The Nikon D3400 weighs 15.7 ounces. I would think you'd need a more substantial model that can accept the weight of your camera. We have a Canon Powershot SX610 that weighs 6.74 ounces and this model works fine for our weight camera. Your local Best Buy technician could probably steer you in the right direction.
