“My radio appears to be missing the SWC (Steering Wheel Control) plug underneath the harness plug. I have attached a photo from the manual that states there's a plug, but it's just a metal panel. Anyone know why that is?”

Hello there! On your product’s wiring harness, there is a different colored cable which is specially for the steering wheel. It also has a paper on it which tells you what it is for. More details about the product on the owners manual. The color of the wire should be blue/yellow or blue.
