“I had this unit installed and it is good so far. However, does this unit base the ability to turn the screen off while still having Bluetooth operating etc? I like to drive at night with the head unit blacked out if possible.”

When you are on a source/function the screen is always on. There isn't a way to just black out the screen and leave a function running. If the radio is off then it is completely off.
