Your steering wheel controls CAN still work with the JVC KW-M690BW, but you’ll need a steering-wheel-control (SWC) adapter because the receiver does not directly read factory SWC signals. Note that this would be an accessory that is sold separately and can be found at Best Buy. As for HD Radio, this specific model does not support HD Radio.
