Once you get them positioned in the ear to where they will stay, they drown out all other noises quite well.

Would not suggest these to isolate sound. Try soft rubber ear buds instead for low priced solution to noise. If you have the cash, get some noise canceling headphones.

These will do just fine for that. Isolation is average

I used it during my flights to Singapore, the battery lasted over 15 hours. The noise cancelling works better than the QC25 in my opinion. I have to take it off or use the aware mode to listen to the flight attendants. As far as the sound quality, just can't beat the Bose quality. Worth every penny.
