“I want to replace a JVC Model KD-DV5100 installed on a Meridian large boat. Will JVC Model KD-T710BT fit into the same outer "cage" frame holder which was used to install the old JVC Model KD-DV5100, and are the electrical connections the same? Thank you”

Don’t know the old model you’re talking about specifically, but if it’s a single-DIN model, almost certainly. I picked this model to replace an older JVC (forget the model) that was about fifteen years old (I know that for certain because it’s the same model I had installed in a Porsche 924S I owned back then), and the installer just reused everything that was already in the car. My expectations of that is why I stick with JVC. Plus I’ve had good luck with the brand.
