A:AnswerYes it shows the time and the day of the week but it took a bit to figure out how to display it. The button on the bottom right of the face next to the auxillary jack must be pressed 5 or 6 times to cycle to it. I bought it for my 60 year old mother's birthday and installed it and she has not had any trouble using it. Even the hands free phone. I had to do initial setup however. She has thoroughly enjoyed it. See pic for time and day. I hope this helps.
A:AnswerBest Buy actually sells faceplates for most car models at the store as well. They have a garage area where mechanics can install the radio for you but if you'd rather do it yourself you can have them look up your car model and find a faceplate for it.
A:AnswerThere really isn't an adapter. There is a hinge where it hooks to. If your faceplate no longer stays, you will need to service headunit to replace hook or damaged faceplate mount.
A:AnswerYes. They have installed two or three units for me and always did a good job. You will probably need to buy a kit to go with it but they are good at advising you on this. Each model vehicle is different so the kit helps your receiver fit perfectly in the dash.
A:AnswerI think the only way to truly tell whats going on with it would be by having one of their jvc technicians take a look at it (this usually implies having to ship it to them) however if you think that the faceplate is the only issue they do have a parts an accessories store where you can find the replacement face.
