• I only use this kettle to boil water. The heating coil at the bottom of the kettle cannot get wet so you have to be careful when cleaning it. I would not recommend using the kettle for anything other than water.

• It would be hard to get the inside clean after making soup or something. The lid does not open the whole way and it would be hard to get your hand inside to clean it.
