“Kalorik says the oven can roast a 5 lb chicken but a 12 lb turkey. Why the size difference? Also, why are the interior dimensions so much smaller than the exterior?”

Hi Byubeautiful, Thank you for contacting us. The reason why we say the max amount of weight for a chicken in 5 lbs is because the rotisserie accessory can only hold a weight of up to 5 lbs. It is important to note that the maximum suggested size for anything on the rotisserie spit is 4-5 lbs allowing ample space to rotate within the cabinet. Turkeys are usually much larger and should be cooked on the baking tray, hence why we say a 12 lb turkey is the max. The interior of the Maxx includes the heating element and the fan, which is why the interior is smaller.
